Namib Naukluft Lodge
Namib Naukluft Lodge is a fourteen-room lodge situated amongst amazing granite hills. Every room has its own patio that opens onto the Namib Desert. The bar or main veranda are ideal places to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. The lodge offers desert drives, hiking trails and Sossusvlei excursions. Excellent traditional meals are served in the restaurant, on the adjacent verandah or in the boma from the open fire. The lounge and pool area provide a relaxed atmosphere after an active day in the desert. As the lodge offers a variety of activities, we recommend a stay of two to three full days. An early morning rise enables you to enjoy the ever changing pastel colours of the beautiful scenery. Use the morning hours for an easy climb to the top of one of the adjacent granite hills or a walk in the vicinity. Explore the diverse flora and fauna, where the trees seem to grow out of stones. During the late afternoon, join a sundowner drive to the natural marble mountains near the lodge. Listen to the evening sounds of the barking gecko - a concert never to be forgotten - while the clear night sky invites you to a memorable star-gazing experience.
